Our new roller bearing block is designed for high load dynamic applications such as backstay cascades, sheets, spinnaker systems and halyards. Low friction and low weight are the main characteristics for these blocks. Cheeks are of black anodised machined aluminium with Torlon® roller bearings. Delrin® bearings are used for axial loads. PA washer insulates stainless from aluminium to prevent corrosion. The shackle features a ø6 mm body and ø8 mm pin, a strong and lightweight combination. The swivel pin is hollow and chamfered to reduce weight. Available January 2010.

Both the gennaker and the Code 0 take over when the spinnaker cannot be carried any more. They do not need a spinnaker pole, lift or downhaul. Sailing off the wind becomes easy, more efficient and definitely more fun.
Seldén has been manufacturing furling systems since the 80’s and are world market leaders in jib furling and main sail furling. All this experience is put into the Seldén Code X and, as usual, our design focus has been reliable function. Our attention to details combined with low weight makes Seldén Code X easy to handle for the crew.

Selden Dominate 14 Championship
Selden Dominate 14 Championship
The Seldén team of Roger Gilbert and Ben McGrane sailed to victory powered by their new intermediate modulus S3 carbon mast and BC086 profiled boom section. This was the team’s first attempt at winning the coverted Prince of Wales trophy and the UK National Championship. The 3rd and 4th placed boats also raced using Selden produced carbon masts.
International 14 rigs have evolved greatly over the past few years since the introduction of square-top mainsails increasing the requirement for greater fore and aft stiffness while not compromising on the weight of the mast. The S3 section mast offers low windage and excellent fore and aft stiffness through the profiled section design achieving everything required for maximum performance in a skiff class.
